CLS W219 Facelift LED Tail Lights modules
Hello,
As promised on anoter thread, i'm happy to
Show you the video of the first Plug & Play module,
that allows you to swap your old Tail lights for the
LED Tail lights from the 2009+ facelift model.
Every lights work perfectly without generating any error on
Your Instrument Cluster.
To upgrade your tail lights, you'll have to remove the plastic traverse in the trunk to Access all bolts, and bend a little bit side carpets.
Then, unscrew the 5 bolts of the Tail light, swap it with the new one, fix it with the 5 bolts, plug the module on your OEM connector (harness of the car), without cutting anything, and plug the other connector (from the module) to your new Tail light. Then you'll just have to attach the module on the traverse bar above the rear SAM, and that's it !
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzZyJ...e_gdata_player
As you will see on the video, the sample is not completely finished, need to drill a hole In the box to run wires Safely out of it.
Everything will be ok on the finished product.
Regards,
Frenchy.

Hello,
just to say that everything is all right, i've installed both tail lights, and it looks great !
I upload now a Video to show you...
http://youtu.be/Qx6AU6nP_nM
The video will be available in few moments...
Today i took all the pics during installation of both Tail lights.
I'll write a DIY with a lot of pics.
Here one pic of the prototype, but the final product will be a bit different for better integration, but of course still Plug & play.
And of course, still have "No Errors" on the IC...
Regards,
Frenchy.

After watching the video I can see different sections of the lights are being activated but not sure what is being lost? Hazzards and blinkers look the same, Reverse same , so the brake and parking lights are swiched and seperate ?
Someone please translate the frenchy !, because I don't understand a word he says.
Thanks.
Nice module! Answer the big question ! When ? How much?

Nothing got moved ! That's a different web site (UK site) What's the differance it stil don't tell you when and how much. Waste of time !
How can it move. Look at the date. It was before this.

Frenchy PM'd me with an answer last week. He said around $200 for the modules plus shipping via DHL or UPS. He didn't respond on when they would be available though. Anyone know where I can find 2009+ tail lights for a good price?

Guys also remember you must have these later tail lights. Personally I am not spending 800 for tail lights and another 200 for modules...
I have a 2008 and tail lights don't look like that inside.

Hello,
Sorry, but i have a job... i'm a nightworker @hospital and work as well the afternoon @ University, so this week i work 70 hours, and didn't have time to answer your questions...
@CLSED550 : I'm not a magician ... ... Of Course you'll have to change your Tail ligts.... please Read the 1st post of this Thread...
"....that allows you to swap your old Tail lights for the
LED Tail lights from the 2009+ facelift model...."
The Tail lights from the 2009+ model are NOT simply Plug & Play even they fit very well and have the same connector.
CLS55 asked me for a video that shows the blinkers alone instead of the Hasard...here is the video :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TZlrb...e_gdata_player
I found the solution to fit those LED Tail lights, and a friend of mine helps me to produce those modules, but we have only 2 hands, so please be patient....
You are waiting for 3 years now for those lights, and now that the solution exists, please be patient 2 o 3 weeks more.
Because i'm in Europe, and have a Trusted contact in USA.
I will send him the modules, and then he will dispatch the packets, that's the best solution to keep a good price.
Need to see this week with him and UPS or DHL how much will cost the shipping from Europe to USA.
Tomorrow i will add to this Thread a DIY with Pics on " How to remove the L & R Tail lights on CLS W219".
Regards,
Frenchy.
