w219 CLS Command unit FOR SALE
I have a CLS550 and upgraded my audio system + head unit with one from pioneer.
I have the stock command unit available for sale, if anyone is needing one. It works excellent and is in excellent cosmetic condition.
Here is a picture below. Name a Price!! I also have this ad posted in the classified section.

I had to order the dash kit for the E-Class because the CLS & E-Class share the same kit. I had the kit wrapped in black leather and had the pioneer head unit installed. The sound quality is amazing. I love it. Light years better than the OEM mercedes command unit. I will post some pics tonight.

So how did you (or didn't you) integrate the steering wheel controls and the LCD Radio Display in the speedometer with the Pioneer Unit?
And what about the Navigation System?
Man, the more I think about it, the OEM Head unit is more than a radio. it controls a lot of things like setting time, navigation, voice control for Nav, Metric/English units, etc. How in the world did you accomplish all this with the Pioneer Unit?

1. There was a special adapter that was installed with the unit so I can control the volume from the steering wheel. I also have a head unit portable remote to control tracks and volume which is awesome.
2. I have navigation apps that I can download onto the unit which are awesome . I also have the special pioneer cable that was ran into the center console. This cord connects to my i-phone so I can use the navigation apps on there. It remains completely hidden and the navigation voice plays through my speakers which is awesome.
3. I have a hidden microphone that came with the pioneer unit installed in my head rest. So I can do bluetooth calls which are completely hands free.
This unit is amazing. It has a built in 50x4 amp which improved the sound quality drastically from the OEM speakers. It accepts DVDs, wireless blue tooth, i-pod/i-phone connections or USB Drives. I can have over 4000+ songs stored on my unit. I also love that it is touch screen and going through 1000's of songs is a breeze to find exactly which one you want.
I also plan on replacing the front/rear speakers with some MB Quart speakers, getting a 5-channel amp and getting a kicker solobaric 12 inch sub for the rear.

That looks great. Can you post more specifics regarding the model, adapter harness, etc and more close up pics? Did you have it done in a shop in S. Fla or did you do it yourself?

I have a 2007 CLS550, The entire car has to be re-wired because Mercedes uses fiber optic wiring which is not compatible with after market head units. I can get more close up pics if you want to see it up close. The leather wrapped kit looks awesome in person. I had a friend install it and he did it in about 2 1/2 hours. He's actually located in Coral Springs, FL. Hit me up if you want his number. He did an excellent job.

I'm so glad you posted this, I bought the same items (deck, harness' and dash kit( thanks for the tip on the leather)) but I've been so afraid of messing with the car (fiber optic, command etc). How did you hook up all the speakers with only the 4 outs on the pioneer unit? If you used an amp, which one did you use? What did you do to incorporate the center speaker in the dash? Can you take a pic of how you mounted the mic to the headrest? Thanks so much
