I want to change the sensor wire does anyone know where I can unplug it from and replace it and what it would cost? MB is saying I would probably have to buy a wiring harness? But for 900 bucks I'm thinking that's extreme. Has anyone ever done this before? The mechanic said the wire cover feels brittle but he cant be sure about the inside. I rather be safe then sorry and he did say he seen a wiring error code but its gone away since replacing the sensor? Does that make sense?

wiring gone bad

Just went over my 76 50 slc. I ordered just in internal clips, two per plug and replaced it back to the wiring harness and spliced in. The cost was pocket change!
