CLS 350 Transmission jerky
Hi guys, all started the other day, when i wanted to move off after stopping on traffic light, car was very sluggish and have to rev very hight to move it, i put it to N and then to "D" car wont move as in it is in "netural"
after i off and on the engine, car started to move fine, but after reaching home, it stop changing gears and was stuck in gear 2. while paking at home, felt a big jerk when putting into "D" or "R".
called Mechanic, they run some test and said Valve body need to be replaced, changes were 3500$.
called another Mechanic, he said he can repair it for 2000$ and he will change valve body kit.
Collected car the other day, now when at about 40km/h speed, car chages gear from 2nd to 3rd, i can feel the jerk, like clutch slips or like engine rev freely, a slight jerk.
Also i can feel a slight jerk while putting the car into "D".
consulted the mechanic again and he said that gear is worn off, problem is not due to Valve body.
Any one here could help me?
is it due to that mechanic only changed the valve body kit(the circuit board thing) or really it is gear hardware issue?
i have feeling that it might be the valve body issue.
any thoughts?
