CLS 350cgi oil consumption
Hello to everybody,
I have a CLS 350cgi with only 180.000km that consumes 1litre of 5w30 every 2100km (no leaks). I'm the only owner and I have been always very conservative with the engine (90% of time in "confort mode", most of time highway or road). Lately I can see more oil burned arround the exhaust outlet. The deterioration has been gradual: at the beginning 1litre each 15.000km; with 60.000km, 1litre each 8.000km; with 120.000km, 1litre each 4.500km; and now with 180.000km, 1 litre each 2.100km. The car runs like the first day, no power lost neither increase in fuel consumption. I'm very disappointed with the durability of this engine... I'm sure it is a manufacturing/design defect, but the car logically is out of warranty. Anyone has been a similar problem?
