I've just recently been noticing my car makes a really awkward clunk noise when I slowly reverse into the front of my house to park and when I get out I see a few drops of some liquid about 8 inches or so apart that seem to begin once I engage the reverse gear. I've been experiencing this for about a couple months and am kind of putting it off because I don't want to find out i'm looking at a 3000 dollar bill for some transmission thing. But does anyone know what this could be?

Sounds like and you have confirmed that you have a leaking transmission,but not to worry you won't have to concern yourself about the 3000 bucks until you run out of fluid--heck that may take years at the rate you say you are going---go back to sleep!!
