you don't need Z-1 if you are going to use the ZFX.
ZFX will cut the drying time down considerably, 3 coats in one day. Zaino is suppose to be a system, thats why their quick detailer is suggested. It's suppose to help the bonding and shine in between coats. |

Well megs quik detailer should NOT be used in between coats as it has oily gloss enhancers which *MAY* inhibit zaino from bonding correctly. Zaino has updated their formulas about 4 months ago for greater gloss and better swirl filling ability. Give it a shot, with ZFX drying time is almost cut down to nothing on a good warm dry day.

Hey Al, I think you meant to say Megs should NOT be used.

nubomb,
Does the ZFX replace the Z-1? I thought the ZFX only helped reduce drying time, while the Z-1 is more for prepping the surface. I'm about to order my spring detailing products and was planning on ordering the Z-1...if I need it! Thanks! |

Z-1 is NOT needed. Check out the site www.zainobros.com.
This was taken from the Zaino Website. 4. The basic products you will need are Z1 or the new ZFX accelerator additive, Z2, Z5 (optional, but highly recommended), Z6 and Z7. Note: The New ZFX accelerator additive is our latest innovation and designed as a substitute and/or replacement for Z-1. 5. Start with either Z-1 Polish Lok as per directions OR the preferred New ZFX accelerator additive. If you are using Z-1 it does not need to dry. Remember do not wipe off the Z-1 Polish Lok. Apply Z-5 or Z-2 directly over the Z-1. Z-5 is the Hot ticket for a swirl free, flawless paint finish. Usually one to three coats will accomplish that. |

Just tried Pinnacle-Klasse
Just tried this combo for the first time and must say I was quite impressed. The combination of acrylic and carnuba looks great.
I did 2 coats of Klasse All-in-One, let it bond/harden overnight, and followed up with 2 coats of Pinnacle Souveran. Spent zero time correcting any hazing or smearing. Microfiber towels work wonders. A detailing tip from www.properautocare.com recommended using a wetting agent like Eagle One's WET as opposed to water when applying the acrylic. This seemed to keep the applicator damp longer and gliding over the cars finish. |
