If I am correct, that might be an auxiliary heater switch. Some sprinters have them as well.

That sounds more like it. The steering wheel heaters are not two-stage.

I think that was provided to give the other group who visit here to make them feel like home and continue to ingratiate themselves with all their confusion, misinformation and mumbo jumbo--it's a digital pacifier and they just have never been weaned off a tit!!

Auxiliary heater compensates for the lack of heat produced by the diesel engine, especially during warm up. I haven't actually seen a toggle switch for them before
