GL 320 Turbo seal replacement, ProVent addition

I am getting ready to replace the turbo seal when I change my air filters and have a few questions.

There seems to be a lot of threads on the subject, but I have not found a good set of instructions and/or pictures.
Does anyone now of a good set or maybe a youtube video?

Second, I am contemplating adding a ProVent 200 (Maybe a ProVent 150 if space is tight) to the crankcase vent system to keep oil out of the intake from now on.

Has anyone dons this on a V6 CDI? Any good suggestions on where to run the oil return line?

I just received a Pro Vent 200 to install on my ML320 cdi. It is much bigger than it looks on the brochure. I have xlg hands and it's bigger than my hand. I saw where another guy placed his on the fuse box that is that side of the engine. He emptied about 6oz every 2k miles. Another guy ran a drain tune down to the front of his car with a valve so he could empty it that way. Haven't installed mine yet. I think you could go with a smaller model.

I am still considering it.
I might look at the ProVent 150, but most people seem to like the 200.

I was hoping to run the drain line back into the sump somewhere.

Today I took the engine cover off and held the Pro Vent 200 in the engine bay trying to find a good location. The only place I can see it fitting is in front of the fuse box on the passenger side. Even there you are limited and the hose fittings are facing the fender. I'm going to look at the smaller models.
Has anybody fit one of these on their 320cdi?? If so where?

Redoing case breather system so that oily crap isn't going into my turbocharger, piping and cooler is one my next mod day projects. Have an old Greddy tank from my NSX I didn't end up using, anybody see this as a bad idea? With egr killed now the case breather is the only thing left to pollute my intake air, it's going one way or the other very soon. 06' W211 CDI, BTW.

Being running this setup for few years. It helps by reducing amount of oil entering intake at least by 50%, how I know someone will ask , simple math - when I change the oil, after 11000 to 12000 miles I will siphon off 7.3 l of oil from 7.5 I put initially and I usually drain the OCC every 3000 miles collecting around 30 ml of oil for total amount of 100 ml. Prior to installing it I had same oil usage - about 200 ml between oil changes, thus I will say it scrubs at least 50% if not more because if some of the oil passes around piston rings and valve stem seals and gets burned percentage will be higher.

Thanks, pics appreciated too. 200+ cc of oil that do not need to enter my turbocharger or plumbing sounds like plenty per oil service to justify to me. My BMW V12 uses no egr and pumps case breathers into exhaust pre cats...my intake manifolds looked friggin new inside...at 150k miles. After putting on a non flapper or de swirl valved cleaned up, honed manifold, I want it to stay very clean.

320CDI Oil in Turbo inlet

Hi guys - please see the link below to another thread posted by dieselfanatic.
I have just done his mod by blocking off the PCV valve inlet on the intake manifold and re-routing the PCV valve hose using a set of unions and extension soft hydraulic hoses from a hydraulic shop to a cheap strong see-through plastic container. I was thinking of replacing the PCV valve hose to the inlet manifold as well, but it has an electric plug - what it does I don't know, but i retained this section and joined it to a hose with an adapter and routed it underneath the manifold. I placed the container on the left side of the radiator (lookin from the front) directly below the radiator expansion tank.
I have simply put the outlet hose from the container down beside the air filter housing to ambient and it seems that there is very little escaping oil vapour, in fact I can't see anything on the chassis components -yet.
All the liquid oil is getting trapped in the container, but is actually very little - about a teaspoon full every 1000km.
As the container is see-through, you can easily monitor the amount of oil, but it seems that it is really negligible, but enough to make a mess around the turbo.
My car has now done 70k km, and the area around and below the turbo was full of oil vapour gunk, and the turbo seal was wet with oil. I cleaned it up and it was still fine.

GL320 CDI
I installed a provent 200 on GL320 in front of fuse box. I finally stop the leak of black oil leak onto my garage floor. After driven 5000 miles, I drained oil from provent 200 and it filled up the small plastic Gatorade bottle. If you have GL320 CDI, I recommended to use provent or put a catch can to collect oil from engine PCV breather. This will help remove oil from getting into your intake.
I routed my provent to air intake duct before air filter.

2008 ML320 CDI
Copying this post from benzworld forum in case any members here are looking for Provent install ideas. It's been a few years since the last post, but thought I'd update with my Provent install. Mine is an '08 ML320. I used 12AN hose that is supposed to be oil resistant. I cut a corner off of my engine cover, so that I would be able to put in back in place. Found a nice spot in front of the fuse box where I could add a bracket to mount the Provent. To tie into the turbo inlet, I used the existing pipe that previously led from the PCV valve.
