Any significant E250 Bluetec gains (via ECU or chip) out there yet?

Beginning the long arduous search for a replacement to my E320 bluetec and really like the facelifted W212 (much more so than the original version, which looks dated already).

The only issue I have is that the OM642 version of the W212 was already slower than the W211 due to the weight, and I'm not sure I could tolerate an even slower version with the 4 Cylinder Diesel.

So given that it's a twin turbo, I'm guessing there are some serious gains to be had. Has anyone looked into this? If that thing could get to around 270HP and 450-500Ft/Lbs, it would likely be the perfect car.

Super helpful. Interestingly enough, a stock e250 would spank a W210 turbo diesel and get better fuel mileage. What a joke of a car it must be.

oooooooooooooooooh--I love being spanked!!

Plus within the five days of your post you only received one reply from the tens of thousands of members that float through the forum daily and you didn't like that reply.

Maybe you should rephrase the question, possibly in another language and or retink the most appropriate section of the forum for your thoughts on your subject!!

I really have no dog in the fight since I have not yet purchased one, but I find it odd that someone who drives a stinky old mechanically injected death trap, of the first and worst Mercedes built by bean counters, would be so quick to disparage that which they clearly can't afford and therefore have no business commenting on.

Hi,I'm driving a E 250cdi (only a different european badge name)4matic and let me tell you this is a really good diesel engine,it produces 204bhp and 500 nm of torque..not bad for a 4 cylinder diesel wagon! Anyway if you're looking for something more, I suggest a Brabus kit:

177 kW / 241 PS
560nm + 27 kw / 37 PS
+ 60 Nm 7,3 s
247 km/h

OP, You didn't post where you live and your information isn't updated, so it's difficult to answer your question...since it is based on where in the world you are located.

It's a twin scroll turbocharger. Not two turbos.

Their marketing materials call it a "Twin-Turbo", but there does appear to be some debate online as to whether or not that means Twin Scroll or Twin Turbo

http://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/vehicl.../model-E250BTC.

Anyone have a picture of the OM651 engine in a state of disassembly?

edit: http://paultan.org/images.paultan.or...51_2_Large.jpg I see two turbines in there, despite being in the same unit. I guess it's a matter for debate as to whether the "Twin Scroll" counts as a "Twin Turbo". There's a lot of confusion over the BMW M57 Diesel motor in the US-Spec 535d as well, which I believe is also described as twin-turbo, but in reality is a twin-scroll.
