w211 e320 cdi Intercooler upgrade?? I6 to V6 ?
Hi peeps,
I want to upgrade the stock intercooler on my 2003 e320 cdi (s211) i'm think of going to put in one from the later v6 as it has a larger overall mass.
Has anyone done this?

Also the higher output v6 engine has a larger Intercooler, Why is this if the previous one was perfectly upto the job?
A larger intercooler should lower intake temps there for as i understand it lower egt's which is better for the Turbo's "life cycle"
Like ive said in my previous posts to your Questions, if you know better please give me some advice.
Many thanks

I am not specialized in tuning but what I have read facelift cooler is not so much better... good results people have gained by using cheapo chinese coolers http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps64332a4a.jpg
One reported results, outside temp 21C, 0-100km/h acceleration with original cooler temp 48C, chinese version at same conditions 27C...
Why they use larger ones is that when remapping 320CDI, air temp is first which restricts power...
see more pics here (some are behind links), sorry about language
