OM606 run without Intake Manifold

Replacing all non metal fuel lines and seals ( orings ) next weekend.

Here's my question

Can I run/leak test lines and seals as I go without Intake Manifold on? I have naturally aspirated OM606 with crossover tube to air box.

Have seen people on Youtube doing it. Do not want hurt engine. Your input would be greatly appreciated.

A leak test if preformed correctly is a test of the integrity of the low pressure(plastic lines) fuel system----the vehicle is not running and yes you can preform the test with the intake manifold off---you simply over pressure the the low pressure side and look for leaks!!
