Out Of Control!!
You either have a faulty fuel rail sensor or you have a faulty high pressure pump!!---get a very good high pressure fuel rail tester---wada you get!!
And be watchful of spammers!!

It can be sensor, or could be pressure regulator valve on the end of the rail.
Some members report that tapping the valve with butt of screwdriver fixed the issue.
Is the engine running ok?

Don't be shy posting your location as we have members from all over the World and they might give you advise specific to your market.
Most likely your local shops will have mechanical pressure gauge to hook up and test, like Plutoe advised.
Or getting other sensor from different car might be easy possibility
In US sensors are relatively cheap, so I would probably just buy new to start. Valve is going to be more expensive.

I have a mac trans and fuel pressure tester but have yet to try and fit one of the various adapters to do a proper test..im an ex honda/mazda tech but unfamiliar with diesels but enjoy learning/researching for headbanger answers..This one though is proving difficult. Im in winnipeg man. Canada and havent found anyone that knows much about this diesel ..local mercedes dealer wont help as its a jeep and jeep is in my opinion unknowledgable and of no help...never mind very expensive for parts..

So on my scan tool with koeo...pressure bounces back and forth between 450 and 650 kpa...koer pressure starts at 50 -60.000 kpa for about 10 sec until idle calms down and then settles to 30750 kpa...converting kpa to psi shows me thats only roughly 8000 psi ..doesnt make sense as thats not high enough..any thoughts ?btw tapping the pressurevregulator and pressure sensor didnt change readings
