I understand the H&R Spring will work with the E550 Coupe with Dynamic Sport Suspension. From this forum it appears the rear typically drop a bit more than the front. I'm interested in a very mild drop but am looking to have the front drop slightly more than the rear as the front gap between the top of the tire and the fender edge is larger in the front.
Any suggestions?

I was pondering the same...I noticed that the rear springs have a shim at the top, sizes range from 5 - 17mm, close to 0.5 inches in difference. All depends on what your car has on it from the factory... But it could be a potential solution. Item 6 in the diagram below.
Thanks! That does like a possible solution (and an inexpensive one). I'll do some research (let me know if you discover anything viable).

We should probably create a new thread once we have more solid info on potential solution for "adjustable" lowering using H&K lowering springs and the upper coil spring insulator. It looks like a single part number for the rear coil spring upper insulator for E550 Coupe w/ Sport Suspension: MB Part Number 2103250184. I believe the shims/insulator with the variable sizes of 5-17mm are for the E-Sedan and not compatible with our E-Coupes (the e-coupe is actually based on C-class chassis to my understanding).
Can the OP, Next Motorsport, provide any guidance?

I have not received a PM as of yet. Is there a variable drop option for the MB E550 Coupe with Dynamic suspension? Are the shims shown in the previous posts viable for the E-Coupe (or only for the E-Sedan)? Thanks!

hi I'm using the HR spring on my E350, the rear does drop a bit more. So does the front coil have that item 6 too? Is that mean if I want to drop the front more base on HR spring, I can also replace the particular part in the front in order to achieve a 'even' drop?
In theory, yes - using a thinner shim in the front and/or a thicker shim in the rear should even out the drop (assuming the rear drops more with those springs). I have not had any confirmation however on whether those variable size shims actually exist for the E-Coupe. I believe the part numbers and diagram depicted are for the E-Sedan only. Can anyone provide guidance here??
