I bet you miss them haha. Are you going back before or after vacation? and thank you so much I really appreciate you taking the pics (hopefully there is one with red leather, but if not any pic of the actual car would be incredibly helpful). Thanks Nab!

Ryan, I'm not 100% sure when I'll be heading over there I'd hope it's before I go away but I'm waiting for them to let me know when they're done with my alloys, got a couple of things it needs to go in for as well so I'm sure I can kill some time there looking round a few C-Coupes!

Thanks Xaniar, that's pretty cool, I went to Bilborough college in 2001.. Not too far away from Beeston!

Quick shot of the D6 washed it and gave it a quick polish over the weekend, here it is before being polished..

Will do Ryan, still waiting to hear back about the wheels but I'm not going to rush them because I want a good job done this time round!

Cleaning wise, for the weekly/2 weekly wash (depending on weather conditions) I just use Valet Pro snow foam, then once that's done it's thing wash it down with Zymol shampoo (2-bucket method) then dry it off with a towel and some Meguiars quick detailing spray.

For the 3-6 monthly polish and seal (depending on how the weather has been and how the car has been used) I snow foam it, wash it, then clay the car down with Bilt Hamber soft clay + Meguiars Last Touch as the clay lube (IF it needs claying), wash it again and dry using a fresh towel. Next up polishing/glazing for that I use Poorboys White Diamond applied with a microfibre pad, take it off with a deep pile microfibre cloth, then apply & remove Meguiars #7 Showcar Glaze in the same way, finished off with Collinite #476S wax.

Alloys - use Muc-Off or Billberry wheel cleaner, then rinse, then wash down with Zymol shampoo, dried off with a separate towel/hair drier (use that as well between the body joints to get the water out!)

Gets pretty decent results to me most of the pictures of the car here are after a wash or a polish & seal.

Some pics of the Alpina B3 Bi Turbo after it had a nice wash, polish, glaze and wax that may interest you...

Few quick pics from Trax 2011 at Silverstone circuit, very big turn out in the end and a very enjoyable day however it's done nothing to cure my urge to swap the D6 for a Datsun GTR....

thanks gavro, it's just a random Brabus badge I ordered, didn't think it would fit because it's from a Smart car - happy with how it looks though.

Nab looks great! You are an inspiration for my next car! I decided to wait until my current lease ends (6 months) so I will be ready to order in 3. Hopefully you can help me when it comes to mods... looking forward to it!

No problem, glad that others like what I've done to it so far.

The wheels, they're Mandrus Millennium 19s but they've been refinished gloss black centers (the finish was so so before in the centers) and the lips have been diamond cut. The standard finish is black/stainless mirror lips. Think they look deeper now on the back because there's less of a reflection from the spokes but then I'm used to seeing them so would think that!

I'm looking forward to see what you order, still very keen on the new C-Coupe they're really nice.

Another update with yet more pictures now in winter set up....

Had the 18" AMG 5 twin spokes refinished in black, fitted them today with my black "roadster" center caps from my 19s, couple of pics!

Outstanding Nab. And I mean that quite literally. Your car uniquely stands out, having a one-of-a-kind modded look, yet retaining the MB classiness that IMO some over-modded Benz's lose.

Thanks guys, yeah Al I'm really fond of these wheels now I used to dislike them when they were silver but now I love them think I actually prefer them to my 19s!

Not sure what anyone else thinks about them but I'm very happy with them apart from the Continental rubber that they're wrapped in! (yes I'm too tight to buy a different set of tires, after all they've only covered 1500 miles!!)

Well, we're both tight then Nab.

I'm putting up with the Pirelli P Zero Nero tires that came with my coupe, yet believing strongly that switching to Michelin Primacy MXM tires (the grand touring type) would improve the somewhat rough ride on the abundance of poor roads here, at the sacrifice of some handling.

It doesn't help me either that Consumer Reports just rated the P Zero's at the top of the list for UHP all season tires! Hard to believe.

Seeing both pictures together, your wheel swap adds significant aggressiveness to the overall look of the car IMO.

Thanks for the compliment. Nab's car ain't too shabby either, don't you think? I know, I know - you were talking about the white cab! I totally agree.

If you're reading this Nab, just curious how rare your car is on the roads in your area.

Reason I ask - I'm a fan of a few of the British TV comedy series we get over here. Does "...that Bucket woman..." ring any bells with you? Anyway, when watching I never see any cars like ours on the roads, including the sedan versions. Of course, location street scenes are only a small part of these shows, so it's a very limited sample.

Plus, I don't know how old the shows are by the time we get them here. The W212's and C-A207's may not even have been on the drawing board when the shows were shot.

Just curious what you're seeing there currently.

Thanks again guys just mulling over what to do next, have found a very good paint shop/body shop (they do complete modifications of any car.. same place that did my AMG wheels black) so intend on getting them to do some bits for me fitted up/painted just getting round to doing it, need an exhaust system as well but Vath are taking the p*** to sort it which is why I haven't ordered a diffuser & spoiler yet, only other option is to go to a place a hundred or so miles away and get a custom system.

Haha yeah I remember that show! Don't really watch much from here besides Top Gear I'm more into my American shows to be honest, funny how that works!

My car is pretty rare to be honest, there are maybe 4 other white cab's but none of them have had anything done to them so you can't tell one from the other just by licence plates and they all have black leather (always gorming at me as I cruise past them!) A lot of people know my car which is and isn't a good thing (can't *ahem* sneak around) but I have had many people come up to me and comment on how much they like it which is always flattering and probably one of the reasons I've kept it, always turns head from other drivers and people on the pavements etc.. but then it also attracts goons that like to play traffic light races - little annoying!

How are you getting on with yours? Still loving it I imagine!!

Hi,

I've got the same E cabrio 350cdi in diamond white!! =D
But mine is with AMG 19" spoke alloys and Tan ledder seats...

I'm about to buy the new grill from 55tech just like yours.

Another thing I would like to change are the boomerang led daytime lights that everybody seems to have...
I would like to have some like the new E salon 63amg model, cls amg... the ones that stay on the upper part of the "air vent" touching the bumper.
Have you seen something like it that we can adapt to our model, since we have no official AMG?

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP
Best regards
Vasco

Your car looks amazing! I agree with everyone, it is a one of a kind car, but still kept the classy mercedes look. I want to get a grill from 55tech.com as well, but not sure which one will look better. I got an obsedian black coupe but not sure whether the black or black matte grill will look better. Which one did you go for? Anyones input will be appreciated!

Thanks, its a 55-tech one, looks nice.. quality isn't 100% but it is passable until maybe another brand appears with a good quality matte black grill I won't change it again, car looks a bit different now though!

Wow! Amazing Pics! I just ordered the small spoiler from Efan last night. Cant wait to get it. Love how you put a normal cab beside yours, really shows how unique your car is. What exhaust did you go for and how do you like the sound difference?

Thanks man, yeah I'm loving the sound of it, have got a really nice evil growl to it now... makes me keep hitting the gas... then grinning

I had it made up by a guy in Germany, told him exactly how I wanted it and he made it and sent it over to me.. safe to say I love it!
