just fitted a Big brake kit

bbk fitted, plug and play quality.

JBT Big brake kit, forged calipers with cast "H" bridge, 6 pot titanium alloy pistons (4small and 2 big) 380mm(15inch) two piece slotted disc rotors, with aluminium billet hat/bell, internally ventilated.
billet aluminium bracket, brembo/pagid low brake dust pads.
Stainless steel braided brake lines.

fitted in 1.5hours by one mechanic.

clearance by 6mm due to my 19inch Work VS concept TS 3 piece wheels
having a bbk clearance.

Comments:
1. Fills the empty space, see the 380mm v old disc rotors!!
2. no more s******ing looks at your brakes from VW rabbit/golf gti drivers when they pull up next to you at the lights!
3.After bedding in, hill hold (brake assist?) function ok, abs ok,
4.pedal feel like oem, until you press very hard and you stop much more quickly.
5. would look better abd bigger if i had black wheels!

will fit the rear 4pot/355mm soon

your car won't stop faster with a BBK. It might *feel* better but braking capability is usually 100% tire limited.

I had four pot Brembo's on my STI and was running 265 width RE01R's (a very WIDE and sticky tire for a 3300lb car). Full panic stop from 60mph and ABS was still engaging....that means the brakes were still overpowering the grip the rubber could provide.

If you can engage ABS on your stock brakes, you need better rubber. If you can't get into ABS, well, then get BIG brakes. Just a counterpoint from someone who's put StopTechs, Brembo's, etc on cars and had Brembo's stock.

yeah i also have driven many cars over my 20years driving buddy, and i reckon that when i punch the new brakes hard the car stops much faster and urgently then the oem 2 pots. If we can calculate the extra friction and heat created by 380mm/15inch slotted disc rotors then we an start debating

if you're concerned with stopping distance, your car is limited by your tires...not your stock brakes. a big brake kit added to the front without a corresponding change to the rear can upset brake bias and actually increase your stopping distance.

Now, if you track your car....a BBK can give you more resistance to fade if its got more heat capacity. short of that, stock brakes are usually more than adequate.

Looks are the main reason people swap to BBK's. I can say that putting Brembo's on my Legacy wagon improved feel and confidence 1000% over the stock set (which were already oversized compared to other Subaru brakes....I was able to sell the stock set as a plus size upgrade for an Impreza).

I'd be happy with less rotor warping...
