E550C. Sold: '98 vette, '04 M3, '01 M5, '05 TL, BMW330 Cabrio (x2), BMW323 Coupe, '07 Benz C230
i've had an e550 coupe for over two years, and i test drove the C63 coupe and the c350 coupe recently. the C350 is quick, very powerful... and the C63 is ridiculous.
but as for the ride and overall feel comparing the C350 and the E550 - the E class is noticeably better. more room, especially in the back seats, more spacious in general for shoulders and legs, no b-pillar ... and the ride is better to the point where i couldn't buy one.

I always thought that the E Coupe was big so I checked.
The E Coupe is 9.1 inch longer than the CLK while the C Coupe is 2 inches shorter. 9 inches is a lot of difference!
IMO, the length of a CLK is just right for a coupe. People who buy a coupe should not have too many backseat passengers.

2014 E550 4Matic with P1/LED/Pano
the E and C Coupes share the same exact wheelbase. 2" difference in length is nothing....could be the difference in styling alone or bumper covers.
front seats are the same, dash is nearly the same. same front seat legroom too.

Can't agree more when you are comparing the interior. When I first saw the 2012 C coupe interior, I was like ... "wtf" It looks 95% identical to the E coupe. I can't believe some of the guys in here think they look different.
Take a look yourself

There are two indisputable differences between the E coupe and the C coupe. First, styling...the E is a much more elegant sleek looking design. Several auto mags have described the C coupe styling as Accord like. The second is price. The C is cheaper. It really boils down to what your looking for. Personally I prefer the E.

2010 E350 4Matic
I've seen one comment comparion the ride quality. That is what would sway me. Has anybody compared a C350 coupe to and E350 coupe from a ride standpoint?
Ii would prefer the C350 coupe from a compactness and hold your breath...styling standpoint but when I drove it and a C250 coupe I felt expansion joints more than I would like. Never have driven an E350 coupe to know how it would compare.

I compared the two at the dealer showroom. The interiors seemed to be identical size wise, as I sat in the front and back. The trunks were vastly different sizes, with the E being wider and deeper. You can get two golf bags in the E but doesn't look like you can in the C.

Try to lower all four windows in the pillarless cabin of the E Coupe, and go for a nice test drive. And then try to do the same in the C Coupe, with its un-removeable B-pillars and un-lowerable back side windows.
The openless cabin sensation and the clean pillarless styling of the E Coupe (like its bigger brother - CL Coupe) is where the extra cost and engineering Mercedes put in.
To me, there is no winner or loser when comparing the E Coupe and C Coupe -- the E Coupe body offers pillarless styling while the C Coupe body offers more rigidity, different purposes for different buyers. Both are nice Mercedes coupes.

The new C-class 2014 interior is nicer than the E-class interior, don't you think ? I wonder if they will upgrade the E-class 2014 ?

The C class is a complete new concept, the actual facelifted E coupe is a 2008 concept. The new E class it will be probably released no earlier than 2016.

Well, I had a 2012 E350 Coupe and recently traded it. In some ways I miss the sport luxury of the E350 Coupe. The pillarless design is pretty cool when all windows are rolled down and panarama roof open as well is the closest thing to having a convertible... or maybe not. The E350 Coupe back seats are surprisingly roomy! I did like the dual climate control paddle-like switches and just the over all finish of the interior. What i didn't like was I felt the E350 was underpowered. I recommend the E550 instead. The stock suspension is not very aggressive...as to what the car is. A luxury sporty car.
So I traded up for a 2013 C63 AMG. I didn't want a E550 coupe because its no AMG. Close but not close enough. I really wanted a sports car, and the C63 is just that. There is no comparison between a C350 or a C63. The interior of the C63 is no where compared to the E class. But don't take this wrong the C63 interior is not cheap and exudes sportiness. Besides the sound of a C63 during a cold start is visceral. Nothing compares, all shortcomings like fixed rear passenger windows, rotary temp selector knobs, is quickly forgotten. Its all about the 6.2 liter V8.
But C63 aside, if I were to choose between a C250, C350 or E350 Coupe... if you weren't going to do any mods get the E350 Coupe. Powerful enough very luxurious. If you want to mod, I would go with the C350. But if your going to spend money modding a C350, you might just consider the E550 coupe.
Tough choices.

2005 C230 Kompressor Sedan
as an E550 Coupe owner, I was VERY impressed sitting in a C250 Coupe at the dealer today. That said, I dislike the C Coupe's passing similarity to an Accord Coupe and I like the fact I have no B-Pillar (something my daughter loves...she has her own window control but she can't open a door....).
I drive a 2011 C300 Sport sedan and will replace it next year with either C or E coupe (waiting to see the next-gen C first), but when it came time last month to buy a car for my daughter to take to college, the Accord Coupe was a very easy choice. Sadly, her car is now prettier than mine.

Fellas, can I please ask a somewhat unrelated question since some of you guys are real experts on the E350C. can you please let me know if the rear windows on the 2012 E350C roll up with one touch button ? the only way I can roll them up is by holding the button.
Thanks
