Bluetooth audio streaming and 2010 models
Just got my COMAND firmware upgraded and am now streaming BT Audio.
See this post for more info: http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w212...ml#post5117861
You should enable BT Audio in the Engineering Menu and if you are having issues with pairing or reconnecting once paired, go to the dealer and have them do the firmware upgrade. Hope this is useful!

yep....I wish they would have told me about before I spent $300 on the useless add-on module. I even had my car in for service and asked about the possibility of retrofitting the new units.
with the new firmware, it works like it should. I only wish that we had the USB jack in the center console so I could charge my iPhone there. I'm sure I could retrofit that but it's not that big of a deal.

Thanks... you just reminded me to cancel my order for the Media Interface Plus.
I'm going to look into something like this to put in the cigarette lighter socket. Should be low profile enough to allow the cover to slide back when not in use.

BlueTooth MB C 350
Can someone please help out! First time to post.
I Just purchased a 2010 C 350 and curious if this will work with a C CLass? I see you guys are referring to the E Class. Mine has the Command with Navigation and Ipod connector/aux in the glovebox.
Dealer and MB 800 aren't to eager to provide much help.
I would LOVE to get this working!
Thanks in advance!

Maybe i posted this incorrectly. Should I create a new thread to ask this question? Does anyone know the answer?

Wow. No one can post a response? I'm sure someone else has asked themselves, hmmm. can i play audio over bluetooth in my car as opposed to the silliest idea of an ipod/iphone in the damn glove box.

2010 E550 Coupe
Have you asked on the C class forums? I'm sure the reason nobody here has replied yet is because they may not have the definitive answer to your question, given that it is obviously a different car. Maybe you should just try it and then you'll know for sure.

I see from the link how to get into the engineering menu and I have checked the HU version by going into 3.19 but where do I go in the menu to enable BT audio? I have a 2010 E550 Coupe with a build date of 12/09. Thank you.

Other than privacy from the other people in the vehicle, I can't think of why you would want to use the handset to answer the call.

I'm just about to buy my first MB ever (350cdi C207) and would like to know, what options do i have to have in order to get the BT audio streaming working? (I'm looking for cars between 2010-2012)
I'm planning to get it with HK stereo but thats where my knowledge ends. Thanks.

You need to pair your phone with the car. You can do that by accessing the phone tab in the upper menu bar. Also set your phone to pair. You will be asked for a P/W. I used 1111 or 1234. Can't remember which, but one of them worked.
Once paired, you need to again access the menu in Command to turn Bluetooth on.
The owner's manual will get you started then the Command system will walk you thru the steps. Pretty simple, even for an old analog guy like me.

Sorry, I was asking of the options the car itself has to have in order to get the audio streaming working. For example do you have to have a specific version of the bluetooth selected, some kind of connectivity package and so on...
The pairing itself is obvious.
