My 2012 Black E500 Coupe
#379
Did anyone end up install the randomtech high flow cats? I just installed the X-pipe and straight pipe today replacing the 2 small resonators and the large one.
The sound level is about 50% less compare to just changing the large resonator to straight pipes, I would like to know if the cat really tunes up the sound.
Thanks!

How much was it? (in USD) Would you be able to pick up another?

Nah, I semi moved back to Hong Kong in December as I am originally from here.
One of my goals was to find this badge while I'm here.. lol went to like 15 car accessory shops today to find it. I paid 588HKD for it.. quite a bit more expensive compared to the regular blue coloured aftermarket ones.
There seems to be a lot of interest in this badge from the Toronto Benz group, so I will call the shop tomorrow and see if I can get a better price if I'm buying a few more for them.

I think OP has the Piecha diffuser.

588HKD (or $75 USD) does seem like a lot but might be worth it. It's definitely unique and nice looking. Hopefully you can get it lower with a group buy. Keep me updated.

Originally he had a 3 fin diffuser but after a lot of research (post stalking) I found out it was a custom original that his friend made by experiment. Might be going the Piecha route.

I quite like the Piecha diffuser too and will probably order one if I go back to Canada.
It is a lot especially when some vendors / ebay people are selling the other aftermarket hood badges for $35 USD. I've pretty must exhausted every type of search with no like in finding this badge. All sources lead back to this thread with a MIA OP.
I will keep you updated Kevin after I call the shop tomorrow.

Count me in for a black badge to if one ever surfaces.
I'm surprised they don't make a black badge, like what Chris posted - since they do Blue and Black variants of the center caps for the rims.

This thread was pretty much my whole precedent research for what I wanted to do with my exhaust. I basically did the same thing and this thread sold me on it. Piecha diffuser with E63 exhaust tips. Thanks!
