From what I remember, Plastidip only makes matte black paint. To get a satin or gloss effect, you have to buy a seperate can of Gloss and either apply a couple coats for satin, or several coats for gloss. I went full gloss and applied 5-6 coats of black, and 3-4 coats of gloss. Turned out pretty good.

You need some new centre caps on that wheel to make it work mate. Go to Mercedes service and find a black with chrome star to replace the stock centre caps. You could then plastidip the centre cap to get the same color if you choose, but the black centre cap will look SO much better.
I thought about doing that, but I'm not fully murdering out my car, so I intentionally pulled the caps off before spraying. I kind of like the contrast between the black and the chrome (which matches the rest of the car seeing as I'm not taking the chrome off my doors, wrapping the window trim, etc.).
Planning on getting some concave 19's in the next few months so I'm not too worried about the stock wheels for now.

BUT.... I went ahead and followed your advice and you were totally right. Found these caps on ebay for $13 and they look much better. Thanks for the tip!
