Rear console removal E350 coupe (w207)

Gents,
I've searched everywhere but cannot find any information on how to remove the cupholder sliding cover on the rear center console on a W207 (2012 E350 coupe)... Attached pics showing the cover open/close. I am assuming I'll need to remove the entire center console to get to the sliding part out.

Help would be greatly appreciated!

Not sure, but if you take out the rubber pads in the cup holder, there may be screws you can remove. Also, there should be screws under the base of the storage compartment.
If you can get the console out, you may be able to remove the sliding cover.
Also, try Googling

You can remove the grill in the deck by gently prying up on it. The entire grill is one piece so be careful. It's fragile. Once the grill is off, there may be some screws to access. Also, the grill itself may be the cause of the rattle.
Also check the plastic trim pieces in the rear to make sure they are anchored properly.

Thanks for the ideas - will certainly look into these.

I've googled and searched everywhere but came empty handed - not lazy, was just hoping someone had actually do it before...

cheers.

There is a screw under the plastic of the right hand cup holder. Once out you pull the assembly forward.....

Hi,

To remove that part you need to remove the entire back seat. It can be removed very easily basically there are two clips at each side of the seat. Once you pull it up the back seat will be removed and from there it is very easy to remove the console and isolate the rattle. I have done the same for my car
Hope this helps

Kind Regards,
Louis

Hi,
I think the seats are the same as a C250 coupe, but I can't get mine out. On your pic what is under the red circles that do not say pull, and what do I do there?

When I pull there is a cracking sound :-(

Thanks

Bryan

A little more help

Hi Bryan,

You need to pull there as well. Back seat is hold by four different clips that are presented in the diagram that i posted. Pull up and it will come of. Do not afraid to put some more pressure. Of course this is for e class coupe. I believe c class coupe should be the same

Kind Regards,
Louis

Hi louis, thant you for the info above. Following your instruction, i was able to remove the bottom seat cushion part as a whole by pulling the front end and sliding back to unclip and then lifted it off.
But now, i need to remove the back cushion, the back rest part. I have split folding seats, so i can fold both back seat down.
how do i go about removing the back part? Are there s rews that i need to remove to remove the seat from some type of hinge that enables the folding seat?

Thank you for your help!

I was wondering the same thing. That has to be the most unloved E coupe I've ever seen.

I still do love my car even after 3 brutal years. But not as much as my G wagon, especially during winter snow, here in chicago.

Long story short, one of my dog threw up while in the back seat..trying to remove these seats to have it professionally cleaned..

Hello, I have 2015 E coupe and I have the rattle you are talking about. I have HK sound system but without Comand. How do I isolate the rattle? Or is it about absence of Comand? Thank you.
