Rear console removal E350 coupe (w207)
Gents,
I've searched everywhere but cannot find any information on how to remove the cupholder sliding cover on the rear center console on a W207 (2012 E350 coupe)... Attached pics showing the cover open/close. I am assuming I'll need to remove the entire center console to get to the sliding part out.
Help would be greatly appreciated!

Not sure, but if you take out the rubber pads in the cup holder, there may be screws you can remove. Also, there should be screws under the base of the storage compartment.
If you can get the console out, you may be able to remove the sliding cover.
Also, try Googling

You can remove the grill in the deck by gently prying up on it. The entire grill is one piece so be careful. It's fragile. Once the grill is off, there may be some screws to access. Also, the grill itself may be the cause of the rattle.
Also check the plastic trim pieces in the rear to make sure they are anchored properly.

Thanks for the ideas - will certainly look into these.
I've googled and searched everywhere but came empty handed - not lazy, was just hoping someone had actually do it before...
cheers.

Hi,
To remove that part you need to remove the entire back seat. It can be removed very easily basically there are two clips at each side of the seat. Once you pull it up the back seat will be removed and from there it is very easy to remove the console and isolate the rattle. I have done the same for my car
Hope this helps
Kind Regards,
Louis

A little more help
Hi,
I think the seats are the same as a C250 coupe, but I can't get mine out. On your pic what is under the red circles that do not say pull, and what do I do there?
When I pull there is a cracking sound :-(
Thanks
Bryan

A little more help
Hi Bryan,
You need to pull there as well. Back seat is hold by four different clips that are presented in the diagram that i posted. Pull up and it will come of. Do not afraid to put some more pressure. Of course this is for e class coupe. I believe c class coupe should be the same
Kind Regards,
Louis
