I've removed the rear mufflers and fitted in straight pipes. It sounds unexpectedly good. I guarantee you it won't sound like a diesel truck or anything like that. It sounds very nice.

Did you remove just the rear back box?

Is yours diesel?

Yes, it is diesel and yes, i removed the back box. It is the only thing it has underneath, except for the particle filter. It doesn't have anything in between.

You can try adding a straight pipe only on the left, but i did a Y at the middle of the car and i also have one on the right. I have a friend with a Brabus exhaust on a C250 Cdi and it isn't any different from the stock one. So my advice is if you want some exhaust sound, do a straight pipe. If i have some time, maybe i'll post a video

It's 80% accurate while revving. It has a bit more sound in real. I know it is not much but keep in mind that this is a 2.2 4 cylinder diesel engine.

Sounds OK, can still hear the diesel ticking noise though.

My friend has 2008 C220CDI and he has straight pipes from the manifold. It is soo loud sounds better than a C63!

I've "stolen" the idea from a 2008 C220 cdi but those are a lot louder because they are euro 4(Europe emission standards) and ours are euro 5. It is a big difference in the particle filter. You can try removing it and for sure it will be louder. But not sure if recommended.

And about the ticking noise, it is from the engine. You won't get rid of that. Only if you buy a petrol engine

Audi S3...gone but not forgotten
Would this work on a E350 CDI? A V6 should be more refined and less "tractor" like surely?

drey63 and Susemaru, your cars sounds absolutely awesome!
I have a E250 CDI with a CKS system, its an epic exhaust but it still isn't as ballsy as yours. I am definitely doing this mod, can you explain exactly what components were removed? (what does straight pipe mean?)
