I ordered the same grill, just arrived today. Heading to my awesome local independent shop tomorrow to get it installed. Knowing how they are, it's a 50/50 chance they'll say, "no charge, just buy us all a beer on league darts night". (that's what they did when I had 'em inspect the car after purchase)

No special tools, but tape the surrounding areas to prevent scratches to the paint, etc. Also do a grille search in this forum for more hints.
I did it without help, but it would've been easier with another set of hands.
The plastic clips on the new grille are very fragile and will break if manipulated.

The grille is very simple to install. No special tools needed.. Took me less than 10mins to put mine on.
Looks great: these grilles totally change and modernize the look of the pre 2014 E coupe.
Ours gets much more attention than before.
I completely agree. Anyone with the pre-facelift coupe should get one of the "one-bar" grills. It's subtle, but, and you said it perfectly, modernizes the look of the car.
This car looks so good in white. I was really considering getting that color, and (since I was looking used) if I'd found one with the right miles might have done it.
It looks great, updates the look of the car, and probably allows more air to reach the intercooler.
Do you have anymore pics of it on your car? I have a black one as well and still trying to decide to go for it or not.
