2014 E550 coupe Polar White
New E550 Owner, New Rim Decision

Hello,

I have been lurking for awhile, and decided to finally join.

I just purchase a new 2014 E550 Polar White Coupe w/ red interior.
Very excited, but want some 19" factory looking rims.

Below are some options but I can not decide...... any help would be appreciated..

The are all 19x8.5 +45 front, and 19x9.5 +48 rear
They are all TUV certified and about 28lbs each

The last one is 19x8.5 +45mm all around (Bent five star)

Any body have them installed on factory suspension?

Everything that I have read is that I may need a lower offset on the front. But all the different guys I ask, say they fit perfectly. At worst case, I can get 5 to 10mm spacers for the front.

Congrats Showtime! I just did the same thing! I just bought a 2014 E550 Palladium on Black. White on Red was my first choice but it was hard to find unless I ordered a car.

I am on the exact same hunt. I want something classy that looks factory. I have never seen option 2 before but I am a huge fan. I would go with #2. My second choice would be #4.

Where are you ordering these from?

Thanks!! Congrats on your new car as well! I was not planning on getting this model, but the price discount was great.

I found the 1st 3 sets on an eBay store from Wheel Proz. When I contacted them, they said it would fit and TUV certified.

The last set, is from Power Wheels Pro (they are a member here on MBworld)

I also like this set:

I also like set #2 and the last set. What size tires are you mounting? Please provide pics of rims on your E550 when you get them!

I went with the last set (bent 5 star) 19x8.5 with +45 offset

The tires I went with are the MD factory specs

235/35/19s front and 255/30/19s rear

So far I just got the car yesterday, tires came in yesterday. Just waiting on the rims!

Thanks for the info on Wheel Proz. I will likely be getting a set from them also.

Cheers

Thanks! No not at all. It rides exactly the same as far as I can tell. Drove it about 25 miles home from the shop, highway and city

I have 235/35 fronts and 255/30 rears

Beautiful. Looks very sharp. Congratulations, you made the right choice.

Did have to use a spacer at all?

Thanks!!

None. The offset ended up being +45mm all around.
No rubbing or and noises.
My car has factory suspension.

When checking the MB USA website for car, and looking at their 19" options.....
MB offers the exact same set up with +44 all around offset and same tire size

Wheels with your car look awesome! In your research, was there a reason you stayed with the same factory specs width vs. going with slightly wider front and back?

I'm looking to go to 19" (from stock 18") as well for my E550 coupe but was leaning towards 245 front and 265 rear.

I was very keen to a factory look.
However, after looking at my setup, I should have opted for slightly larger tires.
Maybe 255/35/19s all around, that way I can rotate them frequently.

Looks awesome! Did you go with 255/35 to 255/30s? and 285/30s or 285/35s?
