2014 E350 4matic - change differential fluid at 3000km?

I just read the service manual, it stated that the rear differential fluid needed to be replaced @ 3000km, anyone do this? Is this correct?

I did. The explanation provided was that with new gear boxes, there's a possibility of metal floating about and it's best to change the fluid after a short break in period.

Did you do it in the dealership or independent garage? How much was it?

Independent garage specializing in Mercedes and BMWs. About $120. Be sure they confirm that they have (or will get) the correct fluid. The specs updated with the '14. Mine was an E550 Cab.
