Mercedes e250 coupe 2011
Urgent please I need advice
I have 2011 e250 coupe, Recently I have deleted the rear mufflers from the exhaust and installed headers instead! And I had been told that this will make the check engine light come on and might cause some damage to the catalyst converter. Is this true or what? What should I do? Should I remove the headers and reinstall the original mufflers? Please answer asap.

Mufflers have nothing to do with the check engine light.
The headers should have a tap welded in for the oxygen sensor located on the engine side of the cat. The O2 sensor needs to be screwed into that tap. Also a tune can eliminate the check engine light coming on because of the O2 sensor.
I had a similar issue on another make of car and the tuner tuned out the O2 sensor. No more CEL.
