What Kind of Rims Do I Have??
Hi Folks,
Can anyone identify the rims from the car I just bought? The dealer said Renntech but I highly doubt they are Renntech's. Guessing they are some replica wheels since they have MBZ center caps. Or are they some sort of OEM wheel?
Thanks!

Pretty sure i mentioned they were renntech wheels. I also thought they were cheapo knock offs. Theyre ugly, imho, but from what ive found out from the dealer theyre part of the renntech upgrade the previous owner did.
So i take it you purcased the car ?congrats. It was a fun car when i sat in it.

Yeah i def remember you mentioning that they were Renntech and dealer said that as well but you and i both have the inclination that they are probably some reps so im trying to figure out what they really are.
And yeah the power is definitely addicting on this E550.

~ you can always pull one of the wheels and check the stamping on the rear side of the spoke to determine if a manufactures info is listed.

Congrats! That is a super clean looking coupe. I was drooling over it on Autotrader earlier last week. That pic doesn't do those wheels much justice. The pics on AT were much better.

I have love/hate relationship with the wheels but I'm likely going to end up getting some 19s to replace them. I also LOVE the interior, I'm a big fan of white (or light grey) over black. The contrast is amazing IMO. Anyhow I hope you find the right Coupe for yourself

I would assume if they are authentic that they can still work with the MB center caps too. I would take a wheel off and see if there is some stamping inside as well if you want to know for sure.

Thanks msheredy! Steel grey was probably my 3rd choice in color (after blk and white) but I really love what the previous owner did to the car with the blacked out trim and it was already tuned which was something I was going to do regardless. I'm starting to really like the Steel Grey since it's a "new" color to me.
Thanks buddy!

Anyhow, I see a white on red E550 Renntech out in the East Coast at the same price I bought mine at but the white one only has 25k miles! I would've probably jumped on that one but I'm quite happy with the grey exterior and white interior

Actually I just checked it again and it passed the inspection. So between 9/8/14 and 1/22/15 something was done to make the car pass the emission inspection. Just a little fishy still.
