Lots of window noise - 2013 A207
I noticed on my 2013 E550 Cabriolet that the windows are very noisy in terms of creaking/friction noise. I don't mean while putting them up and down. The noise seems to be the way they rub against each other and against the roof. I know convertibles are always going to be somewhat noisy and creaky, but this car seems for noisier in this regard than my 2004 CLK Cab.
Anyone else experience this or know how to tame the problem? I mentioned it to the dealer but they responded with "no problem found."
THANK YOU

If your window has noise when its fully closed, then your rubbers on top of the trim are "hard" you have to use special lubricant , i know that luqui moly GUMMI PFLEGE helps. you just have to spray/ or put think layer of gel on your rubber around your upper trim.

+1 on the gummi, do it every few months or a little more over summer and it will go away. This stuff also protects the rubber from the sun so useful for that purpose. Do not worry if noise does not go immediately after you put it on as it takes a very short while as it beds in, and do not scrimp on how much you put on, I also do it along the roof line when the top is down, try to keep this area clean as a lot of crap eventually gets in there!!!!!

Thanks for the tips. I know on my old convertible they put silcone lub on the rubber at the top of the window. I'll try that along the roof line. I guess I could put it on the rubber between the windows as well.

When I do a roof down clean I do every piece of rubber in sight with the Gummi pledge, so it gets done regularly and I have never had any more squeaks at all.......if you stop the roof mid cycle you can get much better access.

What is this stuff called "gummi pledge"? Where do I get it?
You would think that with all the years of droptop experience, MB would learn to control the window creaks in their cars. Mine has them in spades, with one particular creak in my left ear...maybe as the weather warms it will lessen.

Noone can control the window creaks, even mb. cabs and coupe are without door trims and therefore your window "walks" left and right between rubber and making noise.

Folks here have recommended the brand Liqui Moly, and it looks like Einszett (in German, literally, one "Z") is another popular brand. The stuff from Eniszett comes in a rub on stick (doubles as deodorant?).

Gummi Pflege (note correct spelling) is German for Rubber Care. It is not a brand.
