Valentine One Radar wiring
Has anyone wired a radar detector in a C207? I have a V1 and want to wire it into the car. The BMW I replaced had plenty of places for auxiliary electronics, do these cars as well?
Thanks!

I wired an old Passport detector in my 1995 C220, but was reluctant to do so with a V1 in my 2012 E350 coupe. Took it to a local car stereo place and they did a great job hardwiring to a circuit that was hot when the ignition was on. I keep the V1 on the passenger visor so I suspect they used a circuit accessible through the mirror mount, such as the pano top.

Go to the Valentine web site and order the Savvy. It plugs into the OBD port under the dash. Running the wire to the V1 takes about 5 minutes.
There is also an adjustment that lets you set the car speed at which the V1 activates. Any signals under that speed with not set the V1 off, eliminating false alarms.
After turning the engine off, the V1 shuts off when the interior lights go out.
I've had mine for three years with no issues.

For top of windshield under visor mounting: There is a 12v socket in the glove box which operates with the ignition switch. Plug into glove box--->up passenger side A-pillar-->across top of windshield trim--> out by rear view mirror into detector.
