OE Tuning for 2012 E550 Coupe

Has anyone with a tune noticed this? I have no other engine modifications. Resonator delete was done several months before tune and had no impact on engine temp.
Not really qualified on giving thoughts on this matter since I don't have the TTV8, but I'm assuming because of the increased boost, the turbos might be running a bit hotter than usual, thus increasing your engine temp?

That makes sense if you are into the increased boost often. For relaxed driving the boost would be similar as stock but it seems my normal operating temperature is slightly higher even in very mild driving.

I'm getting mine intalled today and will let you know as well. I can ask them while I am there as well since OE is going to do mine.

I got the tune today and based on the traffic home could not really test it, but it seems to pull harder than before. As far as the increased temperature, OE said the tune should not effect it at all. I noticed my temp before the tune and post tune and in traffic the temp stayed the same at around 90. ffr2014 hope that helps.

This definitely helps. Thank you.

I am running around 90 now as well but it seemed like normal operating temperature was slightly lower previous to tune (I'm likely just nitpicking over a perceived 1 degree difference). So nothing to worry about at this point! Maybe it's just time to replace coolant (even with cooler weather).

I look forward to hearing more about your post tune observations! Congrats on your tune!

Did you get a dyno?

OK, just now replying, since I've had a chance to drive the car a little. Nothing serious, just some short driving and then a longer commute to work with relatively light traffic.

First impressions was just a really quick punch of the gas, not even WOT, and the rear broke out on me ever so slightly, haha. Thought, ok, there's definitely a little more there. This was a short trip, so I didn't get to do much more.

Then today on today's late morning commute, I'm driving a little in sport mode, and it certainly feels a little more peppy. I haven't gotten on the throttle yet. I'm just cruising along at 70ish or so, and a slow car starts to change lanes in front of me and doesn't see me. I just switched lanes, and INTENDED to just accelerate around them. What ended up happening, was the car just took off on me. I literally said, "WHOA."

I, of course, want to get the car to a dyno. I won't have a baseline since I never dyno'd the car stock. I'll have to do that some time soon. Even from my very brief initial impressions, it is completely worth it so far. I think my gas mileage is even better. I'll have to keep an eye on that. I did forget to check my engine temp though, sorry!

Is anyone using their tune in conjunction with a sprint booster? I left my sprint booster in after the tune and glad that I did. Off the line in the agreesive mode "red setting" oh my the cars jumps off the line like a beast.

I am not but the ECU tune does improve throttle response. Sounds like together it makes it way better!

I sometimes have to chill on the throttle, because the car takes off on me haha. The car is just so fun to drive. Best money spent on it for sure.

I didn't note my temps pretune, but posttune it runs at about 90.

Thanks in advance!
