Centre console trim removal cabriolet
Anyone know how to remove the trim that goes around the roof control, cup holder and the audio control that's on the centre console. Mines coated with a plasti-dip type covering that's scratched and when I've tried to remove it all there's some pretty stubborn bits that won't come off at all. Here's a photo of the trim. The trim appears to pop off but there's no way it's going to come away without removing the roof control switch.

I think you will have to remove the switch assembly completely to gain access to the trim section. There are probably hidden screws, I have not looked myself on mine.
It irritates me how so many manufacturers use this plasti-dip rubbish on trim parts which are prone to scratches by nails etc..

When the lids lifted up its looks like the top half of the switch could come apart but the gap is really narrow and even my smallest narrowest trim tool won't fit in, don't really want to attempt a screwdriver baca use I think it'll just chew the plastic up.
I don't know why they've plasti-dipped the trim either, that's the only part that has that effect of all the interior trim.
