Hi. I was thinking to upgrade my E550 tail lights to those found in the 2014+ models. I used to own an SL 500 and the tail lights in the newer versions (2000-02) snapped right into my 1996.

I think this may be the case for the E550. Anyone have experience or info on this? The 2014's and newer have the really cool LED lights, I know mine does too but the new version is way nicer.

I believe it is not a straight swap. I think those that have done the conversion had to buy the whole rear bumper.

Ah man, I don't know. I think there is some wiring concerns. I can only assume it still fits to the car as it was just a facelift and it makes business sense to use the same base car.

I'd look up that facelift conversion thread. There might be some tidbits there.

hi dont know how dead this is but iv got a 2013 facelift e250 207 convertable and am wanting to upgrade from the basic pre 2014 led lights to the post 2014 same shape ILS ones if anyone knows what i need and wheres best to get them from and how much work it is to swap these over, id be greatful as mine are awful at night. thanks
