I'm not too sure. I think some 350 owners have done the sprint booster thing. Maybe look into that?

While I didn't get a ecu tune for the newer 3.5 liter engine, I got it for the older 3.5 v6, the one with 268 hp. It was nothing but improvements all over the car, car was more eager and ready to go. I can only imagine what a ecu tune will do to the newer V6 engines!

ECU tuning

I have 2007 E 350 with a V6. How do you improve the ECU. Is this something I can do or let a shop?

Looks like you can do yourself with Flashloader:

This one looks like gains of 23 HP and 23 TQ for your E350:

Requires bench flash (vs. Flashloader) so you'll have to send your ECU in or find a local authorized dealer.

Need more clarification on the ECU Flashing. I'm a little new at this. Thanks

My ECU tune (E550 biturbo V8) required bench flash so I don't have personal experience with Flashloader on Mercedes-Benz vehicles but OE Tuning does provide great support so I'd suggest reaching out to them directly (assuming that's the tuner you go with). But the Flashloader is simply a device (My Genius or you can use an android device) that you connect to your vehicle by ODB2 interface (the cables come with either Flashloader from OE Tuning) and perform the flash of ECU through the device. The advantage of this is that you can do the Flash yourself and can have several maps loaded (including your stock ECU configuration) so can Flash different maps based on your needs.

http://www.oetuning.com/accessories/flashloader

Check out their website and others (Renntech, Eurocharged, etc.) to research which tune suits you best.

Definitely one of the best bang for buck and easy performance modifications you can do for MB vehicle.

Good luck!

What tuner did you go with ? I also have a pre-face lift model and am considering an ECU tune
