2012 E350 resonator delete + x pipe sec cat + C63 muffler
Hi Efans,
I have deleted the resonator and replaced with straight pipes, and few month later also replaced the two small cats with a Xpipe. The result was under my expectation, it quite down the sound after doing the Xpipe, and no more rumbles. I found the exhaust flow is not smooth around 1k-2k rpm, especially going uphill. Anyone knows what I can do to refine the smoothness and better sound without losing too much low end torque?
coz the reason why I wanted a xpipe was because I lost quite a bit low end torque while I delete the large resonator. I also heard that NA cars have bigger lag once you lose some low end turque compare to Turbos. Is that true?
I also thought about gutting or deleting the muffler, but afraid of drones and losing more low end torques. Would a Hpipe helps? I have been reading forum all round mbworld, and seen some people did a hpipe over xpipe.
Anyone suggestions will be appreciated!

How was the drone level when you first took out the resonator and everything else was stock?
And did you just add piping to replace the resonator?
I'm between doing a muffler delete or a resonator delete.

your title says "C63 muffler" but theres no mention of it on your post.
i wouldnt advice deleting your mufflers after the xpipe, it would sound like a lawnmower. c63 is one of the best sounding AMG mufflers to date. you might wanna go with that if youre lucky to find one.
