E550 Coupe
brake pedal feeling
So i got new pads and rotors for the front for my e550 coupe.
after the install the brake pedal travels farther down towards the floor than normal.
also its more mushy and softer.
i'v went to a local shop and got a brake fluid flush, just incase there was air in the lines but that was no help.
any ideas?

What Gavin said. I just replaced my from rotors with Stoptech sport rotors after replacement OEM warped after 12,000 miles and Ferodo (identical to OEM) pads. Pedal travels farther, as it did the past time brakes were replaced but it will firm up a bit after pads are fully bed in.

I know some people think that following ANY break-in procedure after installing pads and rotors is pointless but I, if for nothing else, do it to decrease the time it take the pads to find their groove on the rotor. Repeated hard stops from increasing speeds is my preferred method.
After 5 or so hard stops from 60 mph (i'm talking full pedal pressure emergency stops) you should feel the pedal start to travel less. The last 3 brake jobs I've done there is smoke billowing from the front rotors during my break-in period.
After you let it sit and cool off the pedal is usually back to how it was prior to the change.
Make sure to do this is a safe area obviously.
