"Crash" Warning
My 2015 E550 has spent five days at the Boise Mercedes dealership. My issue is the triangle with car rear end warning light (displays in the upper left of the gauge facia) will light up and beep 2-4 times out of the clear blue, no other cars near me. I recently drove a 2015 C300, the triangle warning would light up and beep when I was moving too fast relative to a stopped car in front of me.
That made sense. My car does not have the Distronic cruise control or automatic braking.
Dealership could find no problem. No ODB2 issues. As is, it is a pain in the ***.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Could the area directly over the sensors be a bit dirty (thin film of road dust / dirt) or the sensors are just too damn sensitive? Either that or the sensor is somehow misaligned in its position. Just a thought. Otherwise I couldn't begin to guess what is triggering the false positive alert response, which is what you are describing. Sorry not to be of more help.
Please let us know what the MB dealership finds, if anything. I can't believe MB wouldn't have a software diagnostic routine that would test and isolate any faults in the various sensor systems in their cars quickly. Given the ever-growing complexity and increased reliance on various automated feedback sensors / systems in today's cars, that would seem to be a "must have" set of diagnostic tools.

~ My '15 e400 does this once or twice a week with nothing in sight and the car is always spotless, so no debris, bug or dirt to blame it on. I've grow to accept it for 50% of the time one of my cars goes in the shop, it comes back with an unexpected surprise (chip, scratch, mark of some sort, etc).

I would also swear my dealer adds to the bodywork decorations too.
