I recently purchased a 2011 E350 Cabriolet. I have been unable to determine what version the Navigation system is. Additionally, how do you determine what version the Command system is? It's my understanding that I need a very recent Command version to run the current Nav release. Any assistance is appreciated. I have other questions, but I need to do some more research before I tie up band width... Thank you

That is hard and easy-----my suggestion is that most dealers will work with you as a new driver regardless of where you purchased the car---any service tech worth his salt will be able to demonstrate the system to you and answer all your questions.

Good idea, thank you. I have a series of driving vacations approaching, and it would be nice to have a current Nav map set. That said, I don't want to spend $250 on a new map set only to discover it is the same version already installed. I believe there is a button sequence which will display version numbers for both Command and Nav. It would save me the two hour round trip to the dealer. Thank you.
