Mercedes-Benz Extended Limited Warranty 3yr / 75k or 100k?
I have been debating on extending the warranty on my 2013 E550 Cab, it is about to run our for the original 4yr 50k miles.
Is it worth it to get the Mercedes-Benz Extended Limited Warranty for 3yr more years, and pick either the 75k or 100k miles option?
Thanks

My warranty will run out in May 2017. I only have 15.5k miles. I'll take my chance.
But, they did have to replace my right muffler as something was loose in there.
I'll still take my chances without an extended warranty.

I am debating if I should or not myself. I have a little under 18k miles on mine now. Just thinking that in 3 years something may go, and for around $900 a year it is a good deal.
Thoughts?

When I got my '11 E550 coupe, it has 17 miles and I went for the 3yr/75mi warranty. I'm up to 25K and so far its covered a faulty cooling fan (uncovered during a service), a charing system fault (10wt at idle corrected by reprogramming the control unit software on rear SAM) and replaced a faulty tire pressure monitor. All small stuff that adds up - but not quite up to the cost of the warranty.
My las Benz was a lease return '92 400SE that I got with 36K miles. In the years that I had it, it averaged $1500 in unscheduled repairs. The shift console and dash went bonkers but the worst was when the AC evaporator went. Even with MBNA picking up the cost of the parts and the local dealer helping with the labor, it still cost my $1500.
So, I'm a bit shy about having a Benz without a warranty. But, so far so good.
