Based on reading what this device itself apparently does, changing the signal mapping of pedal depression to correlated electrical response sent to the ECU (essentially making it a more linear response), I seriously doubt the device itself would cause transmission problems. Your style of driving with the device attached would have far more impact on the transmission and also your brakes than anything else. If for example you start mashing the pedal every time the light changes and then slam on the brakes, over and over again in city / suburban driving, you'll create more wear and tear on your transmission and brakes. Just like you would without a Sprintbooster installed. On the other hand, if you used it for simply more spirited fun driving on the highway where you're simply getting more responsive acceleration, I can't see how you would be damaging your transmission.

Love the SprintBooster. Before installing, let the electronic system go to sleep with the driver door open. Two 10mm bolts hold down the pedal. You will have to cut the carpeting behind the pedal to allow clearance for the plug.
No need to remap the ECU. I did not and it works great.

The point was that an ECU remap can incorporate everything this device does and much more. A far better all round solution and not much more expensive.
You will get far better performance than just fudging the pedal responsiveness which actually does nothing more that you could by pressing the throttle harder and faster than normal. No additional power comes from this device. Remapping would.
