MB E550 Coupe
Coolant question

I need to add just a little coolant to be above the sensor so it can stop alerting saying I need coolant...i bought some mercedes coolant from the dealership...do i need to mix it with water? If so, regular faucet water, bottled water or distilled water...thanks in advance!

Given small amount you can top off with either straight antifreeze or distilled water.

By volume, a 50% concentration of genuine MB antifreeze will protect down to -35 deg. F higher concentration is only necessary if the ambient temperatures are even lower. Going to 55% gives you -49 deg. F. If you live where it gets colder than that, move.

Mix the factory coolant 50-50 with distilled water. Just for information, this coolant is only replaced after 15 YEARS! Do not substitute any other antifreeze if you want to retain these long life coolant properties.
