Replaced Timing Chain Tensioners

Brought my 13 E350 cab in for B Service. Has only 16,000 miles.
What do you know? A mechanic who cares about the quality of his work, hears noise upon restarting the car after performing the B Service.
He ended replacing timing chain tensioners. All done under warranty which will expire in May17. I always thought the engine was a bit noisy due to direct injection. Kudos to the mechanic at MB of Naples.

This is very unusual for any car. Is there a recall on these tensioners? If not, I smell a warranty shenanigan.
