Question E350 Coupe interior trim peeling

Dear MB World,

I have a 2011 E coupe. I know previous discussions have brought up this topic, however there was not solution agreed upon. I took my car to MB dealer to have them assess the spontaneous release of the trim from the car door panel. They had quoted $1500 to fix/replace it since my car is out of warranty. This was not ideal in my opinion.

I ended up using Loctite Epoxy with clamps to fix it my self. The passenger door trim fix held for about 8 months and now its peeling again with the epoxy dried behind it. The driver side trim anterior/front side has cracked but is still holding, but is now peeling from the poster/rear side. The passenger front above the glove box trim has also unset (See photos)

I took it to 3 car audio fabrication shops and they had no solutions except for ordering the part and using 3M to stick it back on using 3m vhb double stick tape.

Do you guys know where and what part# to order to replace the burl walnut interior trim? I am at a loss. Its disheartening to look at each time I sit in the otherwise beautiful beast.

Thank you kindly

Thankyou so kindly Konigstiger. Right before you messaged, I was on the phone with Fletcher Jones MB in Newport, CA and the parts department refused to give me the part numbers as you so kindly shared.

For the help of others here are the 4 prices I received from MB dealer and the 3 sites you linked:

Fletcher Jones MB Dealer: $832.80

MBDirectParts.com:
$509.41

OEDiscountparts.com: $528.75 + Shipping

Parts.com:
$496.78

Please note : OEDiscountparts.com: $528.75 + Shipping

This would qualify for free ground shipping.

I complained to MB NA and they struck a deal where they would supply the trim if I had a dealer install it. Being that the labor to replace the 2 door wood trim pieces was about the same as a wholesale purchase price plus a few dollars, I thought it was worth it and went this route.

e350D convertible 2016
Hi,

I have a Mercedes A207 E350D 2016 - alu trim finished and am trying to find part numbers required to convert the trim to a burr walnut finish. Trouble is Merc will not sell the parts without a chassis no of a car that had the burr walnut from new ie sure to fit. Maybe they would with part nos - any chance you know what they are ? (RHD) Any suggestions with regard to reasonably priced sources would also be appreciated. Thanks for reading. John B (UK).

Forgive me for hijacking the thread.
I understand that this is a common issue where the trim pieces lift up and can be susceptible to snagging and breaking. I wonder if this is an issue with the adhesive or the trim material itself? I have the Ash Tree Wood Black (2A70) trim pieces that are all intact and was wondering if one day, the trim pieces will start popping off the backing plates, or is it only the natural burlwood material that is sensitive to atmospheric conditions (humidity, heat, etc.)? I live in the US Pacific Northwest, so we get a fair amount of rain, but not nearly as humid as other parts of the US. The reason for asking is to decide if I should slowly start hoarding replacement bits before the inevitable?

Anecdotal, but I dealt with the peeling trim recently. Seems every instance I came across was walnut trim (I too have walnut trim). Having ash, I'd just wait till I have an issue, if you catch it early you could easily glue it.
