Do early w114 share the same external mirrors as other MB's?
I have a '73 280C and I am repainting it. I have decided that adding a right mirror would look nice. (If this causes you to become angry, I'm sorry)
As these cars did not come with passenger side mirrors, it's nearly impossible to find a W114 right mirror stateside - I've considered sourcing a mirror from the UK as they would naturally have the mirror on the right.
However, I've noticed that other Merc's of the same era seem to have very similar mirrors - specifically the W108 which looks identical.
Can anyone confirm or elucidate?
Thanks,
Scott

Out Of Control!!
To be correct you would have to compare VIN's---however that's very clever to look in right hand drive countries for the same model mirror!!!

I tried a LHD mirror on my RHD coupe and it was miles out.
From memory I ended up looking at the garden as I couldn't get to look down the side of the car at all.
