Sirius radio

Gurus:

I spent 6 hours installing new speakers and wires along with a new radio unit with Sirius in a 1982 240D. Where does one run the antenna wire to get the antenna outside???( Crutchfield suggested mounting the antenna on the dash------terrible reception at best).
