Sticking Brake Pedal
Hello Everyone,
I recently got a 1980 240D (Right Hand Drive). There was a slight delay of the brake pedal to return to the normal position. I replaced all the brake pads, and the problem still persisted. After replacing the pads, I noticed that the right side front wheel kept getting overheated. I cleaned the caliper first, but the problem persisted. After that, I replaced the brake hose on that particular wheel. with the same result of the brake pedal not releasing normally. The vehicle would not move at all when the pedal is stuck. Once it s stuck, you must pump hard twice or thrice, so that it will release the brakes. I would like to know, if this is caused by a faulty brake booster, or is there any solution for this?
Thanks in advance.
