A little piece of my w123 300D from where it comes?

Hi everybody.

Glad to be here between lots of w123 lovers. I have bought mine this last October, and have invested more than 2 bigs in it since then. It is a pleasure to drive a car like this.

But 2 weeks ago the bar that runs from the wall (connecting to the pedal) and binds to the throttle got disconnect when the bolt got loose just in front of my garage door. I fixed it, but then like a week ago I found this tiny little metallic piece just on the same site, and I have spent a lot of time looking in the web and trying to figure it out from where it comes.

The length is 1" and the width goes from 1/4" at the tip to 3/4" at the triangular base.

Please can any of you w123 experts help me to figure it out what it is?

Better if you can post diagrams, link or pics where the piece is located on your cars.

Tnx

I don't know if this will help however the pin may be the "brake booster push rod"(126 292 00 74) which is secured by a "spring locking clamp" (N 912011 008000)
