300 te turns over wont start
Hello, All
I recently bought a 1988 300te wagon. It had been sitting for about two years with the previous owner because the ignition cylinder was worn. Thay issue has been resolved. However, after adding fuel, a new battery it would turn over but not fire. I pulled to #1 plug, rested it on the valve cover and tried to turn it over and saw no spark looking through the windshield. So, I added a new cap and rotor and plugs which were all in bad shape. The plugs were wet and smelled like fuel so, i have to assume fuel is getting through the injectors. No fire still. Just to be safe I tried starting fluid...nothing. Im currently pulling of the coil to test it and thought I should check in with you guys.
Are there any issues you recall from a car sitting as long as this one did that could be my problem?
