Screeching Noise

Screeching Noise
I have a 1984 W123 diesel which I just changed all three belts. I installed the New belts and ever since then I'm getting this loud screeching noise. At first I thought it was the belts slipping for some reason. But then I discovered it may be the Crankshaft Main Bearing or the front seal. I took off all the belts and ran the engine and there is no screeching, only when a belt is put on the harmonic ballancer is there this screeching sound. Ive replaced the alternator, the water pump, thinking it may be a bearing in one of them or the powersteering pump.
m leaning towards the crankshaft bearing now. Thanks for any help.

Crankshaft bearings will NOT make noise as they are directly lubricated by pressurized oil.
Make sure you are using the correct belts. Too big or small will not fit in the groove properly and thus not have enough contact surface to transfer power.
