I believe the only console "wiring" for something like "locking" is the rear power window interrupt.

W124 door/trunk lock is accomplished via vacuum and not electricity. You want your trunk locked while driving in traffic, push down the door lock button on driver's door.

No man!

i'm not talking about the child lock for the windows

it's another button(see the pic)
it comes optionaly on late models 94' and above and on the CLK

i knoe the locking system is based on vaccum but since the sysytem can be manilpulated with the alarm, than an electrical pulse can switch it on and off

so all i need is who to introduce this switch to the system
or a diagram that shows how the system is built wires and connections i mean so that i can figure where to introduce the switch...

thx again

Mercedes Benz 230E W124
Hai,

Mercedes W124 model comes with vacuum central locking system. My car has been install with alarm system and already replaced the vacuum pump unit. Sometimes when I operate the alarm transmitter, the central locking won't work even though operate manually by key. What I will do is to look into the vacuum unit underneath the passenger seat behind and just a small shake the vacuum pump start to work. I've already re-do all the wiring connection to the vacuum pump including a proper connection to the 3 small wire (yellow, blue and green) from the driver main door and main power supply wire to the vacuum pump as well. It works fine for few weeks and will back malfunction again. Is it the vacuum pump faulty?

Guys help me on my central locking system. It works fine for 2 weeks then the problem start again where the vacuum pump will not work at all! Even manual operate by key from the driver door, all the other lock at the passenger door won't work neither.
When I remove the vacuum hose from the vacuum pump and shake the pump several times, it start to work again.
I do check on the vacuum pump when lock the door, the pump operate for 19 second before it switch off and 5 seconds when unlock the door. As the pump need only to 5 second for lock and unlock and it seems that there is leaking when found the pump works more that 10 second, I have check all the hoses and found no leaking at all. This makes me getting made whether I should change the vacuum pump or it there any other problem which I never know at all. Please advice.
