1993 - 300CE Cab. (A124)
Fitting AMG Monoblock Wheels

I have a 1993 300CE Cab. The original wheels are 15X6.5 with a 48 offset. (Same specks for '93-'95) I have an opportunity to buy four AMG Monoblocks that are 17X7.5 with a 35 offset.
Can I make the Monoblocks work on my car? If yes, what tire size options do I have.
I will be very grateful for any guidance from you more knowledgeable members.

I just purchased the same size AMG Monoblocks you are referencing. 17 x 7.5" all the way around with an offset of 35mm. I have been told that these wheels will work on the W124. I have also been told that I should use a tire size of 215/45 R17

I am still trying to decide if a 225/45 R17 will work for the rear, but if not at least a 215/45 R17 will work for all four wheels.

Hope that helps!

Thanks,
Ryan

Thanks Ryan. I will be very interested to hear what you decide and how it goes. What model W124 do you have?

I just purchased a 1995 E250D with a 5 speed maunal transmission. Here is a photo with the wheels that it came with. My initial plans are to change the wheels to 17" AMG Monoblocks and install H&R Sport Lowering springs for a less "4X4" look.

The naturally aspirated Diesel motor doesn't have much power at all so I'm contemplating turbocharging the stock OM605 engine or going all out with an OM606 Turbo swap and low/mild boost. I am really looking to keep whatever I do to have a reliable daily driver.

Thanks for the update. It looks really clean and much classier than most modern rides.

So I just got the monoblocks installed. I went with 225/45/R17 tires all around. No rubbing at all on stock suspension. Going to have the H&R lowering springs and Bilstein B8 Shocks/Struts installed in a few weeks. Here is a picture of the monoblocks on the wagon.
